Need help.
I both have Cake & ThirdBullet. Yesterday I was able to play at Cake. Not yet in ThirdBullet.

Today, I was trying to launch Cake but it keeps showing me this message "found new update.do you want to update now?"

Once I click [yes], it does something but then it disappears, Cake Poker is still not loading.
Same thing happens when I try to launch ThirdBullet.

I decided to uninstall the Cake software thinking that I'll just download it again, but it showed me another error "only one running instance of this application is allowed"

So right now, I got both Cake & ThirdBullet stuck in my program files but not functional.

Any idea how to troubleshoot this thing?
I can't launch & I can't uninstall both software.

Old posts / More PFP banner that Webmasters Can Use!
« on: September 24, 2008, 03:40:57 AM »

I suggest that there's more banners (different sizes & more creative designs) that can be used to attract more people to this site.

Those with their own poker blogs/poker forum, myspace, etc can grab the banner from here and display it on their sites.

Poker tips / Organizing those poker icons in your desktop
« on: September 24, 2008, 12:32:18 AM »

I'm sure many of you have already downloaded different poker sites in your computer. So far, I have 6 on my PC now and I know some of you may have even more.

Don't let those poker icons/shortcuts serve as your screensaver or desktop theme. LOL!

Create a new folder named "My Poker Sites" or whatever you want for its name then put all your poker site shortcuts there.

Poker tips / Some tips for pain-free playing online poker
« on: September 23, 2008, 06:50:52 AM »
Do you know that while you are so engrossed playing online poker for long hours, you can get backaches, your butt & your legs may hurt, your hands & even your eyes !

Here are some tips for pain-free playing online poker:

1. Get a chair with an adjustable height.

2. Put some cushions to your chair.

3. A swivel chair makes multiple tasks easy.

4. Place the computer monitor 28 inches away from your body to reduce your exposure to electromagnetic fields.

5. Adjust the resolutions to your monitor to be easier on your eyes. Maybe if the screen is darker it feels better. Better, wear shades just like those playing at live poker.

6. Don’t raise the back of your keyboard so that you tilt your wrists. Consider an adjustable keyboard tray. You want your forearms to be parallel to (level with) the ground.

7. Consider a mouse with a scrolling wheel in the middle of it, to save dragging the mouse around with your hand.

8. Remove your shoes, let your feet relax while playing.

Additional:
Before playing, prepare things you might need or want during the game. Make it more accessible for you.

- cold water
- coffee
- cigarette, ashtray
- telephone/mobile phone
- A/C remote control
- something to eat
- etc.

Good luck!

LIVE FEED or POP-OUT announcing PFP tournaments & the poker site.
Like a final reminder, it would show this announcement 30minutes before the event.

You will not worry of missing a tourney under PFP. Just make sure you are logged on PFP!

I hope the software is possible in this forum.

What makes/made you quit playing from a particular poker site???

Please don't mention the name of the poker site. Just list down the factors that will make you decide to never play there again.

Old posts / PFP Police
« on: September 22, 2008, 12:06:00 AM »

This is to call everybody's cooperation and loyalty to PFP.

I saw one thread from another forum asking for Carbon's PFP Labor Day's password. I request that we all become vigilant about password thieves or password leak giver. Let us not allow outsiders to steal something which is supposed to be exclusive for PFP members only.

If you see anyone asking for any PFP password, ask him to just send you his email address & be his referrer to PFP. This way you also get credits for referring and he can get the password from PFP the proper way.

Maybe we can help the mods here by reporting anything that is against the PFP rules.

This is such a great site (with all its creative games & offers), we don't want anybody to ruin this site.

So I call everybody to become the PFP Police!

Poker / The "Rabbit" Feature
« on: September 21, 2008, 10:10:13 PM »

I've only seen the "rabbit" feature in two sites. I hope other sites can add this feature also.

or they don't because it is useless to complete the river when someone has already won during flop & turn betting?

From my freeroll winnings totaling to $45 I made it up to $78. Then just by playing in .10-.20 NLHE almost every other day, it kept going down.

Yesterday, my Carbon money is all gone!  :'(

I have to work my way again to winning any freeroll.
I would love to deposit but my local credit card is not accepted.

Poker tips / Always Think Outside The Flop
« on: September 18, 2008, 11:21:32 AM »

Right after the flop, don't immediately think that you are holding the strongest or winning hand except you got a Royal Flush on it.

There is always what we call the Bad Beat!

So "Always Think Outside The Flop"
-----------------------------------------

Worst bad beat I had so far was losing a quad 2s from a straight flush 1-2-3-4-5. Good thing it was from Carbon's  Sit N Go tourney only!

For some players, they might hate those smileys, pandas, etc. But for some players & for some reasons, those icons are pretty cool to use.

Its like "actions speaks louder than words"

I use it very often:
For donkeys or player with bad attitude leaving the table. I would really display the "loser" smiley

For a very well played hand, I always use the "clap" smiley or the "thumbs up" smiley.

My point is, there's really a good use for all those smileys. Try it with feelings!
