Any other sportscard collectors out there??
« on: October 17, 2008, 01:16:00 AM »
Last year, I got myself involved with a bunch of sports card trading forums.. man, i hadnt had that much fun in years!! Each year when baseball comes around, I ALWAYS get that baseball card itch and gotta do something about it lol.. Some years its just buying a box or a few packs, other years its going crazy.. This year, i've only bought a couple of boxes and am nowhere near involved as I was last year... I simply cant afford it right now lol, even trading gets expensive after a little while when you have no job.

Anyways, here's my site that I created .. I havent updated it since last year, but I haven't added much to the collection lists and you'll see that i'm a Manny Ramirez SUPER COLLECTOR!!

I used to collect hockey cards even though
I didn't even watch hockey when I was a kid.
I probably have a coupe thousand cards.Got them
appraised once and was told I started collecting
a couple years too late that they were just duplicates
off the originals.
Solution to the glass is half full - half empty ......

If you are taken something out of the glass than its half empty if you are putting something in the glass than its half full..

i used to collect baseball and basketball cards.  everyone of my favorite cards got stolen when i went out of town for a few months to take care of a sick relative.  i was so disappointed,  i never started again
it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Card collecting brings back allot of memories.  I live on the west coast and have got all of the 1976 - 1978 Montreal Canadians hockey cards.  Tried to cash them in 7 years ago but the east coast Montreal fan did not put the cash up as scheduled.  I got doubles to quads of each player.  What can I say most people (kids ) at that time just cared for the Vancouver team.  It was easy pickings for me, they were almost giving them a way.  I got 5 to 1 trades for 5 Montreal for 1 Vancouver card.

They made me take them. LOL! ;D  ::) or not!

When I was a kid I lived for baseball card collecting, my father kept most of my brothers and mine worth quite a bit some of em, some have devalued like the mark mcgwire rookie cards and stuff like that, its weird I never played baseball but just loved it as a kid now I could care less.
