i'm guilty of overplaying ak especially near the bubble.  avoid it beginning  of tourny...to easy to lose with it.
it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

i dont think there is anything wrong with it in late position to pick up all the blinds and antes and if someone cals with QQ your not that bad off so worth it =} sounds like you got beat with the best hand  sorry!!!!

Yup, good hand AK , must be played all the time, except the moments u have to call someone who goes all in all the time, no matter the cards ;)

OK  now if everyone limps and you are last or late position and you have AK you would have to belive that you have the best hand and if someone calls you, then they shoulda raised instead of limp so if the QQ or JJ that callls AK pre flop loses its their own fault for not raising. with that being said i dont belive I could move all inn preflop after a raise!!  but only call

ak if you are short stacked  in most cases is the right thing to do is go all in , i would say.Its a good hand to have against any other hand unless the other  hand is kk or aa  rather go all in with it than call an all in
Solution to the glass is half full - half empty ......

If you are taken something out of the glass than its half empty if you are putting something in the glass than its half full..

Its a good raising hand, but it must be noted that its not a pocket pair. and therefore depending on chip stack is not worth going all in with. i lost 55 against AK after a 4x reraise all in. after reraised 4x bb. caught king first card for a tough loss

if ur final table in a money tournament this is a monster hand, any pro will all in this in a second. At final tables any played hand usually ends being HU, in which case this hand is a good fav against anything excpet a high PP..good pocket pairs are pretty rare and u cant wait for them in tourneys when ur in the money or ur stack wil be blinded away, of course stack size has an effect, against a short stack even 2 short stacks its a no brainer, against an equal stack ud have to consider position and prior play..

early in a tourney this is a raising hand, all in with anything early in a tourney is stupid as either u will get no action or get BadBeat, only time an all in is decent move is on loose table (like a freeroll) since u really want HU with PP to get good odds
